Thoughtful and well written, as usual. I read your piece while naked in the sun at Glen Eden. Unfortunately we don’t have a place to bathe privately at home. Take care and have many days of sun in 2024.

Add vitamin D to your list of possible cures and get yourself out onto your roof deck.

Oh, ugh, that sounds dreadfully awful, I'm so sorry you're sick, Timothy. 😩

If took me a long, long, long time to learn that it was more balanced to slow down at the job, to partially meet deadlines and to let a little bit of slowness be seen. You know what the reward is for perfect work and meeting every deadline? Yep, it's simply more work.

"I don't have the resources for that, " "This deliverable is going to be late," "It's one in and one out, " and other like phrases have become part of my vocabulary, and guess what? People accept them and actually offer sympathy. Shocking, right? Right! Technically, the more unpaid overtime one does, the more one's salary is diluted. I'm pickier about where that threshold is.

I hope you get some time in the sun. Maybe some meditation might help? A hot toddy? I can send warm mitts and a touque. 🧤

Feel better and no need to punish yourself for doing all the things. It will change in time.

Don’t be too hard on yourself! Rest feel better and march on. But remember that sun on your naked body will always help you feel better.
